Vipul Jain
CEO and Managing Director
Vipul Jain started his career with the prestigious Tata Administrative Service and was deputed to the Taj Hotels Company to set up and head the Information Systems Department. At Taj, he was responsible for development and implementation of the country's first on-line Hotel Management System in 1982 and went onto develop many other pioneering systems for the hospitality industry.
He left a high-flying corporate career in 1986, to join hands with Narendra Kale and begin life as an entrepreneur. Together they co-founded Kale Consultants; starting with a team of 8 and a one room office. The dream was to build a global company that would be "Best- of- Breed" in the businesses it chose to be in.
Between 1992 and now, he has lead the initiative of setting up the airlines business. His remarkable ability in promoting products & solutions that meet client advantage, has ensured many customer wins in an ever competitive international market. A gifted strategist and a thought leader, today he has transformed the company into his dream company- ‘a best-of-breed global player in the travel and transportation industry’.
Vipul is a B.Tech from IIT - Kanpur and a Post Graduate in Management from IIM – Ahmedabad two of the Premier Indian Institutes. He won the President's Gold Medal for topping the 1980 MBA class at IIM - Ahmedabad.
Satish Ambe
Head-Airlines Delivery
Satish Ambe, in his present role is responsible for solution delivery for Airline Vertical. This role involves managing Products in Passenger and Cargo space, Outsourced Service Deliveries to Airlines and managing Systems and Technologies at all Kale locations.
In a long and rewarding career with Kale, which spans over 20 years, Satish initially executed bespoke system development and conversion projects for various multinational companies.
Subsequently, he took responsibility of managing Kale's Airline Passenger Revenue Accounting solutions and has been closely involved with the development and maintenance of the products in the areas of Revenue Accounting, Sales Audit and Proration. Under his leadership, in February 2002, REVERATM – ‘the new generation Revenue Accounting Product’ won the 'World's Best Revenue Accounting Solution' award at ATTIS, Amsterdam.
He then moved on to lead Kale MPS®- Kale’s business process outsourcing initiative in 2003. Now, he has been entrusted with the present role- where he heads multiple delivery channels in Airline vertical and Systems & Technology group of Kale.
He is not only an airline industry expert, but also has a rich experience in banking vertical. In 1987, he was amongst the selected few to be a part of a study team constituted by Indian Banks' Association (IBA) & Ratnakar Committee, to recommend the future path for computerization in Indian Banks and develop standardized specifications for various banking applications.
His expertise lies in driving and inspiring the teams to successfully manage customer expectations through multiple delivery channels. Satish holds a Bachelor's degree in Statistics and a post graduate degree in Computer Science from University of Pune, a premier university in India.
Neela Bhattacherjee
Head - Airlines and Travel SBU
Neela Bhattacherjee, is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategic planning, sales and marketing. At Kale, she has pioneered the brand building exercise for Kale in the airlines industry. Owing to her initiatives, Kale is recognized as one of the leading provider of Revenue Accounting Solutions and has unaided recall in the first three providers in this category.
Neela's marketing acumen has resulted in several customer wins for Kale in the Airline space. She also spearheaded Kale's acquisition of Speedwing’s - a division of British Airways with four products and 18 customers. As Transition Project Manager for the Speedwing acquisition, within a short span of 18 months she ensured a smooth transition of the software products, customer contract negotiations, delivery transactions as well as the hiring and transition of key people from Speedwing to Kale.
Prior to her current assignment at Kale, Neela was Director and CEO, Softcell Consultants Pvt. Ltd. Neela also had a very rewarding career at A. F. Ferguson Management Consultants.
Neela has done her B.Sc. in Math from Elphinstone College- Mumbai, and also holds a “Masters in Computer Science” from University of Pune.
Mitul Mehta
Head - Marketing
As the head of marketing, Mitul is responsible for development and execution of Kale’s global marketing strategy including branding and positioning, product marketing, customer marketing, digital intiatives, public relations and demand creation.
Mitul brings extensive experience in corporate and product marketing arenas across B2B and B2C domains. Prior to joining Kale Consultants, Mitul was the head of marketing at Mastek Limited where he led global marketing efforts for the organization. In his 6-year stint at Mastek, he not only established the global marketing function but also successfully positioned Mastek as a recognized technology leader in the insurance and government vertical. During his tenure he successfully led two brand integration and positioning initiatives for the acquired companies – System Task Group and Vector Technologies.
Prior to Mastek, Mitul was the circle marketing lead at Reliance Webstores where he was instrumental in launching the Reliance mobile and broadband services in Andhra Pradesh and Mumbai circles. Prior to Reliance webstores, Mitul held various positions in account planning and management at Mudra Communincations and Ogilvy & Mather.
Mitul is a management graduate from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and a Pragmatic Marketing ® certified professional.
Rahul Kulkarni
Head - Human Resources
Rahul Kulkarni in his present role at Kale oversees the entire HR activities across all its locations. He is responsible for building and executing Kale’s Human Resources strategy and shaping its people policies to enable high employee retention rate, growth and performance.
His expertise lies in Talent Management and Talent Sourcing. He has over 13 years of experience in formulating and implementing organization-wide strategies to enhance talent acquisition, talent engagement and development practices. An expansive network across reputed educational institutions, business schools and HR consultants has helped him to source specialized talent against ambitious deadlines.
Prior to joining Kale, Rahul was Head - HR at Stryker Global Technology Center and has a broad industry experience across leading organisations like Cipla, Sun Pharmaceuticals and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. During this time he has successfully addressed the attrition problem in Indian organizations and effectively utilised Training& Development programs and performance management systems to bring about perceptible attitudinal change in his organizations. His work on building a company as an "employer of choice" has been well appreciated.
Rahul has done his Masters in Labour Studies and human resources from Mumbai University. Rahul is an accomplished speaker and has been invited to speak at various industry and academic forums.
Prameet Savla
Vice President – Central Technology Group
Prameet has over 14 years of experience in Information and Technology. He has a deep understanding of Product Development Life Cycle and world class Product Management Process. He has extensively worked on High Availability, Scalable, and Multi-Tenant SaaS based solutions. He also brings along with him the experience of deploying solutions on Cloud Infrastructure, an important element for cost effective deployment of the demanding SaaS offerings.
Prameet has held various key positions in his career, prior to joining Kale he was working with Travis Internet Pvt. Ltd. (Ticketvala.com) as Chief Technology Officer. Ticketvala is a technology startup that has developed a successful inventory distribution platform for the private bus industry. He has also worked with Worldspan India (Calleo Distribution Technology Pvt. Ltd) as Head Of Deliveries; Portal Information Technology (now part of Oracle Corp) as Architect & Ness Technologies Ltd as Technical Manager in the past.
Prameet has Bachelors in Instrumentation and is a Project Management Certified Professional, Project Management Institute, U.S.A.
Gurudas Shenoy
Chief Finance Officer
Guru heads Finance at Kale Consultants Ltd. He is responsible for Business Finance, Accounting & Taxation, Commercial & Procurement, Legal & Compliance, Treasury and Investor relations.
Guru has over 19 years of experience in Finance & Accounting. He has successfully spearheaded programs to optimize financial performance, enhance management accounting standards and improve internal processes. He has played a pivotal role in merger and acquisition programs across multiple levels.
He has been with Kale for the past 7 years and has been involved in various strategic initiatives. He has been instrumental in setting up the organisation-wide activity based costing architecture and enforcing strong financial reporting parameters at Kale. He was involved in managing the acquisition of international subsidiaries and the recent takeover by Accelya.
Prior to joining Kale, Guru was part of the start-up team at Epicenter Technologies where he was instrumental in setting up the entire finance function and successfully lead two rounds of investor funding. Prior to Epicenter, he spent over 7 years in Financial Services industry.
Guru is a graduate in Commerce and also holds Masters degree in Finance from Mumbai University.
