Neela
Bhattacherjee, heads the Airlines business unit at Kale. In this role, Neela is responsible for the strategy,
growth and P&L of the airlines’ business. She is also responsible for building industry and alliance relationships,
managing key customer accounts and managing the practice teams.
She has extensive experience in international business and has handled customers from all over the world.
She has experience in strategic planning, marketing, sales, conceptualizing solutions, delivery and development
of IT solutions to a variety of industries including travel & transportation, hospitality, fibre marketing and textiles.
Neela has pioneered the brand building strategy for Kale in the airlines industry. Owing to her initiatives,
Kale has unaided recall as a leading provider of Revenue Accounting Solutions. She has been instrumental in
some key customer acquisitions for Kale.
Neela also spearheaded Kale’s acquisition of Speedwing - a division of British Airways with four products and
18 customers which was accomplished within 18 months. She was involved in negotiations, setting up of Kale’s
UK operations and transition of the software products.
Prior to her current assignment at Kale, she was Director and CEO, Softcell Consultants Pvt. Ltd an IT solutions
company which was set up in 1987. She has also worked with A. F. Ferguson Management Consultants.
She is a person with multi-faceted interests. She has compered several TV programs (a children’s program ‘Magic Lamp’ and other youth programs) and lent her voice to a puppet in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.
She has also acted in several short films and plays.
Neela holds Bachelors in Mathematics from Mumbai University (Elphinstone College), and a Post Graduate
degree in Computer Science from University of Pune. |
