Narendra Kale is a highly accomplished serial entrepreneur with vision, zeal, ambition, passion and competence to lead companies to new heights. An alumnus of Harvard University, IIT Kanpur and COEP, Mr. Kale has over thirty years of experience in the Information Technology area with major focus on design of Application software products and projects for service industries. Mr. Kale is founder / co-founder of quite a few successful software and services companies. He has worked with large international IT consulting companies like TCS as well academic institutes like University of Pune.
In 1982, he started Kale Consultants, as a software company with a small work force of two persons, a capital of Rs. 1 million with a vision to put it on the world software map. At present the company has grown to become India's leading developer of application software solutions and outsourcing services for the airline, logistics and travel industry. Mr. Kale himself became an expert recognized worldwide, in the sphere of IT, particularly in hospitality and banking. He has been a member of various committees at the industry level - Consultant to the Computerization Committee of the Indian Banks Association and a member of the Rangarajan Committee for computerization of Banks and has participated in several other national and international think tanks.
In 1992, he established Silverline along with 4 other IT professionals. He led the company to be among the top 10 software service export organizations in the country. In 1999, he left Silverline to solely concentrate on Kale Consultants. As the founder of Kale Consultants, Mr. Kale has provided the company a clear strategic focus and a unique business model. He has recognized and practiced the importance of the "value chain" and "Employee Ownership" long before they became widely used concepts. He is the force behind developing many firsts in Indian software scenario.
Mr. Kale always believed that world class products can and would be built in India by encouraging bright young Indian minds to lead international standards. His company is a striking example of such product based success, where one of the products has been standardized for worldwide use.
He has received several awards and prizes for excellence in education and entrepreneurship including the distinguished alumnus award for excellence in entrepreneurship from IIT Kanpur in 2007. He is also a member of hall of fame at IIT Kanpur and COEP. He is the champion for entrepreneurship for an initiative by PANIIT. He is the chairperson for COEP foundation and an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at COEP. He is the co-founder of Bhau Institute of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Leadership a unique institute set up at COEP.
He combines professional passion with social compassion to apply modern technological alternatives to solve social issues and harness opportunities. He is actively involved in healthcare and educational activities for social uplift programs in India. He is also the charter member of TiE, Indus entrepreneur’s network. |

| Vipul Jain is a B.Tech from IIT - Kanpur and a Post Graduate in Management from IIM - Ahmedabad. He won the President's Gold Medal for topping the 1980 MBA class at IIM - Ahmedabad. He joined the prestigious Tata Administrative Service and was deputed to the Taj Hotels Company to set up and head the Information Systems Department. He was responsible for development and implementation of the country's first on-line Hotel Management System in 1982. | In 1986, Vipul left a high-flying corporate career to begin life as an entrepreneur. Along with Narendra Kale, he co-founded Kale Consultants. Starting with a team of 8 and a one room office, the dream was to build a global company that would be "Best of Breed" in the businesses it chose to be in. With this vision, Kale chose to specialize in selected vertical industries and create innovative software products. Dr. Nohria has over 50 years experience in Electrical & Electronics Industry. He served as Managing Director of Crompton Greaves Ltd. since 1985 and has been associated with them since 1978. He later went on to serve as Chairman of Crompton Greaves Ltd., from1997 to July 22, 2004. |

Dr. Nohria is recipient of various awards including the Golden Key Award for Value Engineering, the Lifetime HRD Achievement Award and Best Corporate Manager of the Year Award. He graduated in Electrical Engg from BHU (Benaras Hindu University) in 1954 and pursued further Management studies at Manchester Technical College, UK. He was awarded an Honorary D. Litt Degree from Benares Hindu University.
