I still vividly remember that busy DAY 1 of campus placements at NITIE way back in 2001. There was this hustle-bustle in the air with scores of companies chasing a handful MBAs, as it often happens at NITIE. We had been quite impressed by Kale's pre-placement talk and had marked this company in our calendars. On the "D-day" I landed up with two jobs, one with a behemoth MNC in Hyderabad in operations and one with Kale Consultants - a company on the run-way as we used to call it- in pre-sales. The choice was obvious.

It has been a choice that makes me feel proud and happy every time I think about it. As an MBA I had very few and vague ideas of what software product pre-sales meant. But the excellent mentoring received at Kale in those early days ensured that I was prepared to take on the challenges involved in the job.

I have worked with Kale's airline division and by now have interacted with at least twenty-five global airlines geographically distributed in Asia, North America, Africa, and Europe. It has been a steep learning curve and no one else from my MBA batch has got such a wonderful global experience. Kale means opportunities for MBAs!!

It's not all about work at Kale. There are picnics, fun sessions, cultural "days" that make Kale a fun place. It refreshes you from day-to-day work and increases cohesiveness in the team.

It has been quite satisfying experience in all respects. However, based on my personal experience, I guess at Kale you are assured to get more lucrative opportunities to prove your mettle than anywhere else.

My stint in Kale Consultants Ltd began as a 'Summer Trainee' in 2004. I worked as a summer trainee for three months. I was assigned to write a white paper. The three months experience in Kale was enriching and it gave me a different perspective of the corporate world.

My key learning's were about the airline industry and some market analysis concepts. The most significant learning were in areas like teambuilding, networking and time management .

I was assigned to do sales support, active account management and sales. Kale acknowledged my work and offered me more challenging work over a period of time.

In my second role as an Account Manager, I had my first international trip and subsequently as part of the sales team, I had the opportunity of attending my first International Conference. Both these exposures have helped me get a better insight about my customer and about the industry.

Along with 3 more trainees, I was given a warm welcome when we joined our office. We all were introduced to all the project managers,who briefed us about their projects, this gave us a very good feeling. In short, we all were being taken well care of, as everyone treated us as the "youngest members of KALE family".

The experience has been wonderful till now. I hope it continues to be better. There is a great level of comfort among all the employees, which makes it very easy for us to approach anybody at any time. Everyone is always ready to help, no matter how busy he or she is!

always get constant encouragement from my manager and other colleagues for whatever work I do. That encourages me to perform better. It is an awesome work environment!! We all laugh together, have fun, and at the same time we work together. There is a provision of indoor games like carrom, chess, dartboard etc. Quite often we all keep doing some recreational activities like GK Quiz, Singing competitions, carom championship etc. which gives us all a break from our regular activities and helps everyone to freshen up!

Kale has helped me grow both professionally and personally. In the initial 6 months, I worked on VB6 and ASP. I am involved in projects that are being developed using ASP.NET and VB.NET. All work that I do is a new learning in itself. Initially we are given sufficient time to learn about the whole project, and we start coding only when we get sufficient understanding of project. My manager often says "the sooner you jump into coding, the later you finish". I actually believe in this statement too!! In short, the learning experience has been wonderful.

I consider myself lucky that I started my career here, and I promise to keep giving my best efforts!!

My selection at Kale was very unique. I am an Electronics engineer from RAIT Mumbai, and during the placement interview process preference was given to the computers stream.

At the end of the interview session the interviewers were about to wind up saying "it was nice to meet you". When he came to me he added, "You were pretty good but I am sorry we have given preferences to computer stream. We will maintain your resume in our database and let you know later".

I thought that those were just a bunch of nice words of consolation. But I was proved wrong when they considered my performance and selected me for a project and to my delight I was placed at Kale. The induction and technical training was held at the Andheri office. We had the overview of the entire organization and training on various technologies like Oracle and Java.

In office the environment is very friendly. I can confidently say that fresher who would be joining Kale, are going to have a nice experience for sure. My bosses, team leads, and other team members are very friendly and I am very lucky to work here. I am absolutely free to approach anyone without any hesitation as if I approach a friend for advice. I have learnt a lot in this year. At times work was tedious but is always exciting and challenging.

When I used to work late colleagues used to say "hey! you seem to have lots of work, but don't worry give it your best. You can do it." I was always appreciated for whatever work I have done. Over the year I have been part of various assignments and projects, this has given me exposure to a lot of technologies.
